The playground at Danbury Sports and Social Centre is located on the corner of Mayes Lane and Main Road. There is pedestrian access from Main Road and there is a small car park at the Danbury Bowls Club on Mayes Lane.
Baddow Hall Park is a short drive away from this playground in Danbury.
The Playground
The playground is a bit dated but is great if you’re a fan of the swings as it has big sets two sets for babies and older children. The playground is located in a large green space so plenty of opportunities for running around and playing games like football. This tall slide is visible from the main road and my children had asked to visit to try it every time we drove past for years before we finally got round to it.

Playground Equipment for Older Children
As well as the large swing set there is this strange wobbly roundabout which my daughter really enjoyed.

This climbing frame offered something a bit challenging which my daughter liked. There is also a static surfboard which is always popular.

Equipment at the Playground for Younger Children
For babies and toddlers there is a large swing set with 4 baby swings instead of the usual one or two.

For toddlers who enjoy climbing there is this climbing frame with a slide and a tunnel to crawl through.

The postcode for the car park on Mayes Lane is CM3 4NJ. There are no public toilets nearby.
